🍆🍌🥕🥖TOP 5 DIETS IN 2020. (SAVE THIS INFO) Did you know all 5 (drop a comment) Not a big fan of BUT they work for many people. So let’s take a look:
1️⃣KETO - very low-carb and low protein, lots of fats. Many celebrities swear by this diet. It works! ONLY IF you create calorie deficit. The downside - very restrictive and once off it you might gain the weight back. If you want quick loss - Yay. Sustainability - Nay
2️⃣ PALEO - eating like “cavemen”, no grains, legumes, processed food, glutten and dairy. Same here - calorie deficit is required for kg loss. Paleo defends that elimination of foods above reduces inflammation. Inflammation has linked to diseases like cancer, diabetes, and arthritis.
Yay for health benefits. NAY - if you really like grains and other healthy things that are eliminated (yogurt 🤤)
3️⃣ WHOLE30 - eat nothing but veggies, fruit, nuts and meat for 30 days. I like simplicity, but (!!!) is it doctor recommended? Also no sugars, alcohol or dairy. Yay for simplicity. Nay - because after 30 days life goes ON!
4️⃣ DASH - Doctor backed diet prevents and lowers blood pressure. This one is backer by scientific research, but doesn’t promise weight loss. BUT huge health benefits. The idea (and it’s pretty detailed) to have no restrictions on food groups, BUT RESTRICT THE AMOUNT (e.g. sodium, meat, dairy...only certain amount). Again, some lose weight due to cal. deficit. Yay for health benefits. Nay if you don’t like a lot of rules.
5️⃣ Mediterranean diet - HYPE is real on this one. Focuses on plant-based foods and lean proteins like fish and chicken, can help you lose weight and slash your cancer risk. Yay - because it really sounds tasty! And Nay - because.....well I can’t think of nay- do you know?
🌟🌟🌟 The KEY TO ALL OF THEM IS CALORIE DEFICIT. But it’s not that simple to create the deficit and diets really help. Which one would you choose?? 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣5️⃣?? Maybe your own. What works for you will still be different.
