The JCK Book Club and guests had a wonderful experience last night. They were invited to attend the Musical SCROOGE at the Courtyard Theatre in Plano. This was opening night! There are still more performances this Season.

So, we have been busy! It's time to catch up on posting...
In addition to our interns working, we have groups that have done some pretty amazing trips into the community. We've been to the State Fair, the Dallas Zoo, and of course Watters Creek for story time.
In addition, come see us on Saturday for the Super Heroes event at Watters Creek. We are getting bags of goodies ready to hand out and several of us will be there manning some activities. Come see some real life Heroes on Saturday from 1-4 at Watters Creek!

Today our Interns at the Allen Senior Recreation Center helped make Pink Tutu's for the upcoming Breast Cancer walk.
Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Community Day shenanigans!
This week we went to 2 different places.
One group went to the newly reimagined Museum of Illusions. We had a great time trying to unlock all of the new mysterious Illusions. It was fun! We had lunch at the Dallas Grilled Cheese Company...yum!

The second group went to the Stephen Terrell Recreation Center. Everyone chose how they wanted to build strength, stamina, and endurance. Some took a cycling or Zumba class, some chose the machines upstairs. Everyone walked 1 mile. After lunch some played the ever popular pickle ball and basketball while others went back upstairs for the walking/running track.
It's been a great week!

Community Day is always a favorite activity.
One group spent the day at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. It was a beautiful day to hike and play games. We all decided we are ready for cooler weather although we had a nice breeze in the shaded pavilion.
The other group spent the day at Watters Creek. We ran story time in he morning and put together goody bags for the Siptember Wine Walk that is being held tomorrow. The Wine Walk is always fun!
