Tomball High School’s Hope Squad is making a real difference! ✨

These student leaders took the time to educate their peers about coping skills and sparked some conversations that truly matter.

We are so grateful for their dedication to helping others build mental health skills and for spreading hope across their campus.

We're shining a spotlight on Advisor Heather Peiffer this month! 💙

Thanks to her leadership, the Jesup High School Squad hosted a Wellness Walk on World Mental Health Day, bringing together over 400 students and staff from pre-K to high school. From mindful games to practicing connection, Heather and the Squad proved that small steps can have a big impact on mental health.

We love to see you share hope with the entire school community, Heather!

🗞️ Exciting news 🗞️

Hope Squad has been recognized as an evidence-based program that meets all of Ohio’s legislative requirements for su***de awareness and prevention, violence prevention, and social inclusion.

This state-level approval is earned through rigorous review by the Ohio Departments of Education and Workforce, Behavioral Health, and Public Safety, which confirms what thousands of schools already know:

➡️ Hope Squad connects communities.
➡️ Hope Squad promotes safety and support.
➡️ Hope Squad transforms awareness into action.

We love to see our commitment to student safety, connection, and well-being recognized in Ohio.

High fives and hope in action! 🙌

Shoutout to Kearney High School’s Hope Squad for this incredible community-building idea: They partner with the Kearney Police Department and McKenna’s Rae of Hope Foundation for High Five Fridays—greeting students at the door with smiles, encouragement, and a whole lot of positivity.

This year, they even added Baxter the Bearcat to the mix, with Hope Squad Members taking turns bringing the mascot to life! 🐾

We love seeing Squads partner with their local communities to build connection, spread kindness, and start the day with hope.

Gratitude is powerful! 🙏🏽

Research indicates that acknowledging the positive aspects of our lives can improve mental health, foster resilience, and deepen connections with others.

Take a cue from National Council Member Ava and pause to reflect on one thing you’re grateful for today—you can always start with something simple or silly!

Stress is a part of life...but managing it is a skill we can learn.

Through Hope Squad, students learn and model healthy coping strategies to handle stress before it becomes overwhelming. This is a reminder to practice those skills and take care of your mental health.

Try one today:

✨ Write in a journal
✨ Take a walk outside
✨ Practice deep breathing

Building healthy coping skills, even in small ways, can make a big difference—for you and the people around you.
