We offer vascular tests for evaluating blockages in the arterial system and treatment options availa Dr. Rizwan H. The father and son team was a dynamic one.
Bukhari is a third generation physician within his family. Raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Bukhari once practiced and operated alongside his late father Dr. Hassan Bukhari. They were colleagues, friends and admirer's of each other's work. Together they supported and advised one another. Their main priority was to offer the best treatment for their patients. Today, Dr. Rizwan Bukhari has over 19 years of experience in vascular surgery. He continues to honor his father's legacy by offering the same patient care that was established early on. His mission statement includes treating each of his patients with dignity, respect and by offering the best care possible. Dr. Bukhari established his solo practice on March 1, 2014. He dedicated his practice to the memory of his late father Dr. Hassan Bukhari. A photograph of the father and son duo can be seen just behind the receptionist's desk. While his father was not alive when the center finally opened, the memory of the dynamic team lives on and is reflected in the integrity that is held within the practice.

Three years ago, Paul Lowell was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. During routine doctor visits his PSA level went from 1.1 - 87 within a 6 month period.
By the time he was diagnosed, the cancer had already spread to his lymph nodes & bones. His oncologist basically felt that chemotherapy & radiation would only make him worse. So he sent Paul home to make arrangements and gave him 18 -31 months to live. Paul is “9 months expired”! Today he continues to live with cancer. He adopted a plant-based diet last year after Dr. Riz told him about the power of plant-based foods. Let us know what you think about this episode.

Hello friends. We are Plant Pure Communities pod leaders here in the Dallas area. We are Plant Based DFW. We often interview people and typically share on our FB pages and to our group.
We wanted to share this episode with Adam Sud because we felt it was so meaningful. We feel that there are so many people right now who are trying to get on the right path but no longer can be around their support system.
In this episode, Adam shares with us his struggle with adderall and with food addiction. At one point he was close to 350 lbs. He began to see the light when he became familiar with Forks Over Knives and literature on food addiction. The plant-based diet helped him in his recovery. We hope that you will be inspired and encouraged to stay on the path of eating plant foods. Please share with anyone who could benefit from this message.
Today Adam is a diabetes and food addiction coach for Mastering Diabetes. A program that focuses on reversing insulin resistance to master type 1, Type 1.5, pre-diabetes, and type 2 diabetes using low fat, whole food, plant-based nutrition.
He is an international speaker for the plant-based movement and addiction recovery movement. Adam has worked in recovery centers using plant-based nutrition as a tool for strengthening recovery and relapse prevention.
He has been involved in various immersion programs such as Plant-Stock, Dr. Scott Stoll, the McDougall Program and Dr. Furhman's program. Plant-Stock is coming up this weekend, August 14-16, 2020.
In 2012, Adam Sud’s life was completely out of control. Once weighing nearly 350 lbs and struggling with multiple addictions, serious chronic diseases, and m...

In 2013, Rip Esselstyn was on a book tour promoting his latest book titled "My Beef With Meat". When I heard that Rip would be at the Whole Foods Market in Dallas, I quickly registered to attend. According to Dr. Riz, he was dragged to hear Rip Esselstyn speak about heart disease. This was the day that changed Dr. Riz's approach to preventing and treating heart disease.
In today's podcast, you will hear an interview of Dr. Riz by Jul Nov. She is the founder of the Plant Super Powers Summit. This interview is from that summit that took place in April 2020.
Dr. Riz discusses:
*His personal story towards becoming plant-based
*How he felt when he discovered that cardiovascular disease could be prevented
*How he now works with his patients
