✨ Why wait for 2026? December isn’t a throwaway month — it’s your launchpad.
🔹While everyone else is “waiting for January,” you can focus on building strength, confidence + new habits to carry you into the new year strong. 🙌💫

3 simple ways to jumpstart your health + wellness TODAY:
1️⃣ Add one whole-food swap - trade a processed snack for something real: fruit, nuts, eggs, veggies + hummus. Small shifts = big energy.
2️⃣ Walk for 10 minutes after a meal - I do this daily to boost digestion & stabilize blood sugar. If the weather is bad, move around the house or do a few sets of squats & lunges!
3️⃣ Pick one non-negotiable to commit to daily. For me, it’s tracking macros to make sure I’m hitting my protein target daily. Try for a water or protein goal, consistent bedtime routine… choose ONE thing you’ll commit to every day this month & stick to it!

I’ve had several female clients who’ve come to me recently worried because all of the sudden they have high cholesterol 🙄

🔹You’re eating the same, moving your body, doing “all the right things”…then suddenly your cholesterol is up. 😩

What’s really happening:

🔹Estrogen is your heart’s best friend.
It helps raise your HDL (“good” cholesterol) + keep LDL (“bad” cholesterol) in check.

🔹But during perimenopause, estrogen starts to dip & fluctuate & the protective effect fades causing cholesterol levels shift, even without any lifestyle changes.

🤩The good news? You can take back control:
🌱 Eat fiber + healthy fats (think oats, beans, olive oil, avocado)
🏋️‍♀️ Move daily (cardio + strength are both key!)
😴 Prioritize sleep + manage stress (hello, cortisol!)
🩸Get regular labs + talk to your provider about your numbers

Logging long miles on the road or trails🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️??
➡️Here’s the thing: endurance training is amazing for heart health + mental strength, but it also cranks up cortisol, your body’s primary stress hormone.
➡️When cortisol stays high for too long, it can lead to:
🔹Hormonal imbalances (especially during perimenopause and post menopause!) I’m living proof of this - reach out to hear my experience.
Increased belly fat & muscle breakdown
🔹Fatigue & slower recovery
🔹Disrupted sleep & mood swings

Women are especially sensitive because our hormones naturally fluctuate, & chronic stress from overtraining can push our bodies toward burnout instead of strength.

In my early 40s, when my perimenopause symptoms first started, I wasn’t sure what was going on with my body!
🥴The brain fog, inability to sleep, constant fatigue, creeping weight gain, achy muscles + joints, & heart palpitations made me cranky & not much fun to be around some days.

✨As I began to dig into the science of what was happening in my body, for myself & for my clients, it became clear that the menopause transition is not just about hot flashes & skipped periods. It’s a transitional phase affecting our whole-body: the brain, bones, heart, metabolism, skin, gut, & more.

I’ve taken off from running for the past month. 🏃‍♀️While running is my stress relief & makes me feel energized, I’ve learned the hard way that NOT prioritizing recovery can bite you in the butt!
🔹Health & performance is not a straight path.
It’s a series of transitions offering a chance to learn, adapt & grow stronger - not just physically but mentally & emotionally too.
🔹It’s important to focus on the lessons you can learn from setbacks, & focus on the things that you CAN do instead of what you CANT!!

Summer is here and I’m craving long hours & big miles running through the mountains!
🔹But, as I navigate perimenopause, I’ve noticed shifts in energy, body composition, and mood.
