A Few Hints

It is best to have your medical provider file your insurance claim and bill you after the insurance company pays.

If your doctor states that the private room was medically necessary, your insurance carrier may pay the higher cost of private accommodations.

If you requested a semi- private room and none were available, the hospital should absorb the cost of the more expensive room.

Medical mileage is deductible on your tax return.

Some medical providers may write-off a portion of their bill if
you ask and pay in full promptly.

How do you charge?

We charge for the actual time we spend on your file.

Are there any hidden fees?

When we have to pay a medical provider for your records, we pass that cost on to you. We will always clear this with you before incurring such expenses.

Do you need my insurance policy?

We do like to have a copy of your contract in the case of Long Term Care policies.

Are your services tax deductible?
Yes, if you itemize your tax return.

Is it necessary for me to live near Health Claim Services in Texas?

Absolutely not. We handle claims for people throughout the United States.

Do you handle foreign claims?

Yes. We have had clients in Thailand, Mexico and France.

What if I have only one claim problem?

Give us a call. Many times we can offer suggestions that will enable you to solve that one problem.

Can you appeal claims that are two or more years old?

Your insurance policy dictates the period of time in which we have to appeal claims. If a claim was already appealed and denied, that time period may be extended.
