High Risk Injection sites 🚨

These 5 areas are considered “high risk injection sites” due to the arteries located here. Injection of filler into one of these arteries, when left untreated, can lead to skin necrosis- a very serious complication.

We can’t stress enough the importance of finding a qualified and experienced practitioner for your non-surgical aesthetic treatments. If a less- qualified injector administers dermal fillers or Botox incorrectly, it may pose greater risks than an actual surgical procedure- due to less formal oversight of these cosmetic procedures we are seeing today.

The person injecting Botox and Filler into your face should have a thorough knowledge of the facial anatomy as well as what to do if something does go wrong.

This post is not meant to scare, but rather to inform you of the serious consequences of letting just any “injector” inject your face. We often have patients come in to our office looking for help from their botched filler and Botox treatment. It ends up costing almost double the amount to dissolve and re-do the treatment 😦
