https://cota.org/campaigns/COTAforJuanC On January 3rd, 2012 Juan David Carroll, Jr. was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia. 1 in 15,000 kids are born with this diseases and it can be fatal if not detected early enough. Doctors and specialists performed a major surgery, known as a Kasai procedure when Juan Jr. However, it is not a long term solution

, and Juan Jr. will be in need of a liver transplant. The Army
By definition army is a large number of people or things, typically formed or organized for a particular purpose. Our team along with our family and friends and community are the driving force for Juan Jr’s army. We may not be able to fight the physical battle for him, but we will fight to do whatever we can to help aide him in his battle against Biliary Atresia.

Scans came back unclear, they decided not to redo. Numbers were slightly elevated from his labs this morning.

They are gonna give him 4 weeks to see if numbers come down. At which time they will decide on the biopsy.

Update on Juan Jr. He is scheduled for a Fibroscan on the 16th.

More labs next week, as they still continue to be up and down.

Here is an update on Juan Jr.
Morning labs came back & his numbers dropped except his total bilirubin.

AST, ALT & his direct bilirubin all came back down. Direct was almost back in the green.

We will be back again next week to run labs. They don’t know what is causing his numbers to be so up and down. At the same time they don’t want to rush to do a biopsy. Right now the plan is just to keep an eye on his #’s week to week.

Praying for his new liver to take to his body & the numbers continue to come down. 🙏🏼

Lab results came back elevated.

We were hoping the numbers would continue to drop.

Juan Jr will have to repeat labs again on Monday. If they are the same or higher he will more than likely have to be admitted.

He’s super frustrated with the news, but still in good spirits.

Church prayer this morning for Juan Jr.

We would love for you all to join us in this prayer.

Lord, we know that You still have amazing plans for Juan's life and that includes health and strength in his body. I pray right now for any infection to be cleared out and for this liver to function correctly.

Lord, give his body the grace to keep moving forward and fill his heart with hope and joy as he looks ahead. Order his steps to stay in Your peace and remind him of the amazing plans You have for his future

I also ask for Your peace to surround his family. Help them all to remember Your faithfulness and give them the grace to resist all of the fear and lies of the enemy.

In Jesus Name Amen.🙏🏼

Quick update on Juan Jr.

His second round of labs came back with a little bit of positive news.

His #’s dropped a little. Not completely back down to where they want them, but at this point the Dr said there is no reason to admit him.

We will bring him back for more labs the next few weeks. They want to increase the frequency to stay on top of his numbers.

Please continue to keep Bubba in your prayers! 🙏🏼

Quick update. 2nd round of labs tomorrow.

Sonogram images came back good. If his #’s are still high they wanna admit him & schedule a biopsy for possible rejection.

We will provide another update Thursday/ Friday.

Juan Jr is in good spirits & he said he’s not scared. However, He’s not excited about being admitted.
