Let’s talk about this growing up thing. What happened to the disclaimer? I mean, I know you mentioned something about babies and milk and maturing and having solid meat but I feel like that wasn’t a well explained note that gave me a true idea of what was to come, as I aged. If I had known all that I would have to deal with getting older, I would have really milked my childhood years for all that I could.

You know… I would have said a lot more of “I need… give me… I want.” Well as much as I could get away with. I still had my grandmother at the time and she wouldn’t have went for too much of that kind of childish behavior. She would have hit me with (in her Caribbean accent) “wanti wanti can’t get it and getti getti no want it”. Which would have left me, like usual, looking at her like “what’s this new riddle?” Of course, little did I know I would understand it perfectly when I got older.

Ugh, I miss being young.

Why? Why do I have to go thru so many changes as I get older? I mean, like, what is up with my cycle becoming easier as I get older just like everything you do over time it becomes easier. No, not my cycle it has to cycle to the next level and find other places to cause me pain.

Why does it trigger muscles that have no connection to it to throb? So what, now the body wants to work together in a concerted effort to heighten my PMS?!? I mean, how is it PMS really didn’t become real until I crossed the 40 threshold. Like, it popped up and said “you thought you knew, but you didn’t… now I got you.”

What?!??

Then here go the hormones, they want to join in like Little Drummer boy, thinking it should harmonize. I want to just tell it to sit all the way down and leave me all the way alone. On top of everything else, forgetfulness wants a solo.

What is going on?

I did not sign up for this. I think a volunteer list needs to be provided at the beginning of life with all the pros, cons, risks, and requirements… kind of like a contract. If we don’t volunteer and sign then we do not have to be subjected to the monthly exchange of uncomfortableness.

Now I know there are some good things that come from having a cycle but we should be able to negotiate what we are able to accept and deliver on and things we say are no gos should be taken out. I’m just saying.

Let me know your thoughts. Because I would really like to know what is really good. Help your friend out.

You hear it time and time again that stress is what causes us the most problems, but sometimes we don’t know how to get away from it. It’s not always about getting away from it but what we can do to handle, mitigate, or reduce it until we can identify a way to release it.

Simple things like deep breathing, taking a walk, reading a book, working on a puzzle, journaling, and anything healthy, once or as many times a day as possible, to take your mind off the stress for a while helps to reduce your stress which can assist with reducing high blood pressure.

It’s never too late to start healthy habits.
