It’s also the week I become ceo of the JAH’S HEART Foundation and their mission to support caregivers🤍🕊 My mother left it to me and I told her I’d plan a race before she transitioned &... well I did what I said.

Mommy.

You would live enough life, give enough love, heal enough broken, provide enough shoulders to cry on, say enough truth, provide enough peace, display enough faith, exude enough strength, uplift enough of the down, laugh enough laughs, encourage enough of the uncertain, kiss enough tears, speak enough joy and be enough humility and grace for a million years...

Thanks to our dedicated donors, we distributed hundreds of "Care 2 Share bags, We provided over 50 hours of respite to caregivers and their families, including transportation to and from appointents and errands. Started support group, Caregivers, Conversations and Coffee, We equipped 10 Caregivers with 2year CPR certification. Thank you Texas Oncology, Ford Warriors in Pink ,Nexixen, LLC ,Target ,Texas CPR Training

2018 was a year of discovery, learning, focus groups and plain old hard work! We are working hard to address the needs of Caregivers in our community. The top 2 requests continue to be respite and training. While we are developing a solid respite program, we have piloted our first training class of our new program, "Care Certified" which has been developed to address an essential need of all caregivers, and that is to provide emergency first aid and/or CPR to their patients.
