As a Certified S*x Addiction Therapist I personally witness the deep wounds this addiction inflicts. Because people naturally associate s*x with pleasure, we tend to believe that the s*x addict is pleasure-seeking, therefore his/her pain is merely a consequence of their own poor, selfish choices. It is only when we understand the pain that PRECEDES the choices that we can see the addiction, and the agonizing trap that has ensnared the addict.
