March was a fun month of learning about Florida through our Travel Times program. The culmination of that was a Florida-themed lunch made by our own Chef Carrissa and her amazing cooks! Our meal featured blackened fish with homemade mango salsa, coconut rice, Key Largo mixed vegetables, Hawaiian rolls, and Keylime pie! Afterwards, everyone danced to the music of John Scott! What a fun beachy day! Next month, we travel to Texas!

It’s time for our annual Barathaven Cutest Pet Contest! Show us your cute cats, dogs, lizards, rabbits, crabs, fish, donkeys, chickens, etc.

Three categories of judging include Cutest Dog, Cutest Cat, Cutest Pet-Other

Residents, families, staff, and friends of Barathaven are eligible.

How can you enter?
1. Bring in a photo to Barathaven activity staff OR
2. Send a photo to Kris at kbohn@barathavenmemorycare.com
3. Comment here with photo and info

Each photo must include:
*Name of animal
*Name of owner

During the month of March, we have been taking a “tour” of Florida through our AgeWell Travel Times program. We’ve learned about animals of Florida, Disney World, St Augustine, beaches, and much more. We’ve also made some fun projects to go with the Florida theme.
