As we all finally take a breath after the horrific violence in our small town from the past couple weeks, I feel the only way to honor those lost is to carry on their legacy.

For David, compassion. For Karim, work ethic in pursuing higher education. For Kim, as she recovers, healing, and resources for safety.

I will be donating a portion of last week's visits to: Karim's endowment fund; Kim's GoFundMe; and Paul's Place, which provides resources for the local unhoused community.

Had the honor of working with as she got back to training postpartum. Just 4 years after going pro and 18 months after delivering her beautiful baby girl, she WON the Ironman World Championship in Kona.

Wishing my niece all the luck and speedy vibes as she takes on the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics the next few days. She's a beast at only 8 years old and even more impressive than her perfect natural running form is her grit and insane work ethic.

Pregnancy, childbirth, and the physical, emotional and mental challenges of motherhood have given me a profound respect and appreciation for what the female body is capable of.

The balance of new motherhood and the determination to continue pursuing your career, your dreams, and redefining your identity is not an easy one.

I am so in awe of as she takes on her first Half Ironman triathlon this weekend since giving birth to her beautiful baby girl 4 months ago, with a current Top 10 World ranking.
