Hi lovely humans & welcome to my End of Life Doula page
It’s my pleasure & souls deep calling to be here with you. It has taken me some time to get here & the path hasn’t been smooth, but oh so worth it. I was called to this work a few years ago when I was cleaning a home and listening to a podcast. The host was interviewing an End of Life Doula or as some refer to her as a Death Doula. At first I was a little unsure, but as I listened more something in me changed…I was mesmerized by the stories she told and wanted to learn more. I began to search for courses near me and learn of other End of Life Doula’s in my community. There was one day, when I was talking with my mother, and she explained that someone she knew in her life happened to be an end of life Doula. I went on in life and continued to hear about Death Doula here and there, as the subject kept presenting itself to me. I thought to myself, this must not be by mistake. I then looked at courses again and found that the university of New England was offering a course in the fall of 2024. That same fall, in October I was getting married to my now husband and we were planning a wedding…times were a bit crazy, but I found a way to fit it in because I knew this was needed. By winter of 2025 I thought I was ready to launch, however the universe had other plans. I had begun feeling low of energy around the time of my wedding and before, but it was beginning to be more and more unbearable. I knew that I must turn inwards & tend to myself before I could set out to support others in the most difficult times in their lives. So, like I said the path has been a bit bumpy, but oh so worth it. So here I am, ready to offer of myself to those that need an ear to listen, a hand to hold, someone to hold space for them, or just sit beside them so they feel less alone.
