Hey Everyone!!!! It's been a long time, the Holidays were rough y'all!
If you could take a minute to read this and please share it, it would mean the world to me. This church is very dear to me and this fundraiser that we're doing is so important for us to gain funds for repairs needed :) So please please share and it would mean the world for me!
I know it's a doozie, but there's a lot of important points covered!
If you haven't stopped by Ember Church in Huffman since Harvey - You truly should! Right after Harvey we did twice a week hygiene, first aid, food, and baby item distribution to ANYONE who needed a little help. And in October/November we transitioned to a complete Food Pantry supplied by the Houston Food Bank.
We now operate once a week (every Tuesday, check out our FB site for more info) Since Harvey - we have helped THOUSANDS of families. Not people - FAMILIES, families of like 5 or 6. That is truly amazing and unbelievable. All of that and absolutely no proof of income or residency is required - all we want to do is help! Lots of other places turn people away (we know because they've came to us after being turned away by other churches/schools/centers). All we require from you is a smile and about five minutes for us to get your stuff together!
Very soon we will be ran 100% on donations since we're out of of "Disaster Relief" time frames from the HFB. So until we are back on their list, donations are what will be keeping us going. Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated so far to help us to keep going. Every single dollar helps. The church is very small and very old (which means it has a LOT of character) but we also need a lot of repairs done to it. And we have big dreams to make the church and food pantry amazing.

My apologies for the long post - but there is a LOT of very important information in here regarding this fundraiser, disclaimers, the church, and of course the basket itself!
So far the odds are in your favor, we've only sold two tickets - so there's a HUGE chance the basket can be yours! Most of it is stuff made by me, my aromatherapy items, so I know a lot of y'all know and love those - And then Kristen (one of the pastors at the church) is adding some items too! And to top it off my Granny is adding 2 dozen homemade cookies!!!!

$10- 2 pieces of brand new Paparazzi jewelry
PRICELESS- 2 dozen of my Southern, butter loving, Twangy, Loving and Crazy but in a good way, Granny's famous Oatmeal Raisin Pecan Cookies from absolute scratch. When she DOES sell these - she cannot make them fast enough. For real y'all. You know how a Granny cookie is. Heaven on Earth.
I am not keeping one penny of the sales from my items, 100% of the ticket sales will be going to the church, and proof will be shown if you'd like. The basket will be made this week - so what you see is what you get - I can't change out certain items for other items. You can always gift items if they're not your cup of tea :)
Y'all this is OVER 200 BUCKS WORTH OF STUFF. And most of these are my best selling items so they are GOOD. Everything will be decorated and will include a Valentine's Day Card as well so it's truly ready to give as a gift should you want to.
And again so far we only have TWO TICKETS SOLD - so the odds could be GREATLY in your favor ;) ;)
You can purchase your ticket by either dropping the money off at the Church in Huffman on our Food Pantry days or of course during Service on Sunday (PM me for their info), you can drop the money off with me in Dayton, or you can PayPal your ticket purchase to me (you do not need a PP acct to do this) and I'll send it to Kristen and Matthew (Pastor and Pastor's Wife). I'll be showing proof of any PayPal payments for the church, and any cash payments for them as well! I do not want ANYONE to think that this money is going to me. I'm just a very strong advocate for helping the community, and this church is the absolute definition of that.
Also if there needs to be some sort of disclaimer that the money goes directly to the church, we will film a statement or write and sign something with Matthew and Kristen's signatures, whatever we need to do so y'all feel secure!
I apologize for the long post - but I wanted y'all to know where this money will be going to, and how much we've helped the community since Harvey and how we plan to CONTINUE to help them. We have huge dreams and big goals that don't stop at a food pantry!
Thanks everyone for reading my novel, haha! - and please please please let me know if you'd like a ticket or multiple tickets, the more you buy the better your chances are! And like I said we only have two tickets sold right now - so the odds are in your favor if you buy one, two or ten!!!!!!! There is absolutely no limit to how many you can purchase - so get your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to get in on this amazing opportunity! And all of the sales from the tickets go directly to the church's repair needs, and to make it more Food Pantry friendly.
As SOON as I finish the basket I'll take a picture of it and have it up for y'all to see :)
We'll be announcing the winner Saturday the 10th, Kristen's son and my daughter will be pulling the winner's ticket out of a blacked out box on video - and pickup for the basket will be between the 10th and the 13th. If you want to grab it the 11th 13th, feel free to come up to the church during Sunday service (once it's finished of course....stay for service!!!) , or tuesday on food pantry day to get it. Otherwise you can pick it up here at my house in Dayton.
