This 75 Hard book written by is hands down the BEST mindset book I’ve ever read. I finished it in 2 nights because I couldn’t put it down. I completed 75 Hard between June and September but after reading this book I realized I didn’t do it the way it’s designed.

Andy breaks down all the BS we tell ourselves as we make excuses on route to our goals. If you need some tough love and reminders on ALL the ways you don’t realize that you’re sabotaging your potential ... this is the book for you. That’s what this book helped me realize. That even though I checked off the boxes my mentality wasn’t always deserving of that check mark.

I rate this book a 10/10 because Andy doesn’t tip toe around anything. He’s straight up, he speaks from personal experience and he lives what he writes about in this book every single day. Oh by the way ... if you don’t like the F bomb I’d recommend reading with ear muffs on 😉

When you enjoy doing something but aren’t getting the results you’re looking for ... change one thing about it. One small change can challenge you mentally and physically creating a shift, pushing you forward thus generating results. Don’t overthink it just find one small thing and get to it.

I love to lift weights and build strength throughout my body. I workout at home, am not a certified trainer and just enjoy following a program but wanted to spice up my current one. I’ve had this Terracore tool for a long time and honestly have never used it. I pulled it out last week and am trying to find ways to use it with my current workout program. It is so challenging trying to stay on this thing while maintaining control of the weights. This small change is dialing in my mental focus and will most definitely create some physical changes over time.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to get another tool as I was today! I love the rechargeable battery lawn tools. The color is super fun and to be honest I really love that our garage doesn’t have to smell like gasoline! So don’t mind me while I try and find any reason possible to use this badboy 😊

Some Mondays require a little more MAGIC than others ... amiright??? Consider this your friendly reminder to go find your magic juice and get after this week. Play offense as we round out the end of September and get ready to bounce on into October.

Don't spend time focusing on what you didn't get done and instead do this:
- write out a list of absolutely everything you've accomplished since Sept 1st
- write out what you can complete by Wednesday
- write out 3 big goals for October

and then the most important part ... GET TO WORK! Nothing ever happens when we focus on the "I didn'ts" or the "what if's" so push those thoughts aside and get after that second list you just wrote out.

One of my best buds has been working her tail off to live healthier and get back to running. Today she posted a selfie which she never does to share about getting out for a run today. It inspired me to not only go get my walk in but restart my couch to 5k program too. It really pays to surround yourself with awesome people who can indirectly inspire you to be a better you 💕

So Donna this one is dedicated to you because you better believe I’m going to be ready when you ask me to join you in your first race (virtual or in-person)!

This weekend I did something I’ve never done. I took my watch off when I went to bed Friday night and didn’t put it back on until 1pm today (Monday). For the past 3+ years I can guarantee I’ve never gone more than one day without this watch on my wrist. The vibrations and notifications capture my attention instantly and take me away from whatever I’m doing in that moment.

It was refreshing to just spend my weekend being invested in the moment. Not worrying about the next notification or distraction to come my way. Trust me I can provide more than enough distractions without my watch adding to them 😉

My advice to you ... try this out even if it’s just for a day. Remember that we have a life to live that exists outside the realm of smart watched and cell phones!

Let’s talk about flexibility for a min ... I call myself the anti-flex as you can see from this downward dog. Flexibility when it comes to my body is a challenge and when I ignore it I have a number of issues that creep up.

When you think about areas of your life that are challenging you ... what happens when you ignore them? Do they magically disappear for you? I bet they don’t and when that issue resurfaces you’re even more frustrated than the first time. If you change the way you approach your challenges, become a little more flexible and work away at them everyday, you’ll see progress. Progress might be small to start but it’s important to celebrate it all.

When I practice yoga, stretch and foam roll regularly I become more flexible and have significantly less pain in my body. What’s that nagging issue that you are just hoping will magically disappear? How would your life change for the better if you actively started working on making it better every single day?

September 1st brings all sorts of feelings. Fall is on the way ... everywhere but here because fall is really just second summer here in Florida! Christie is transitioning to be back at work Full Time. We’ve opened a new business venture together (you can follow us ) which we’re super excited about. I’m 12 days away from finishing 75 hard ... and I’m finally on top of an effective goal setting process.

This month I’m working on 3 goals:
1. To learn how to create an effective batch content process for all platforms and businesses.
2. To launch my new Life Coaching programs.
3. To plan and be prepared to start Whole 30 the week of September 13th (still deciding which day that week).

Every day I write out 3 specific goals tied to my monthly goals. By taking deliberate action everyday in some small way I am always moving forward. Not every daily goal has to be monumental just enough to keep me focused and my eyes on the prize.
