This week, we proudly recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and the incredible 911 dispatchers who serve as the calm in the chaos.

At Northern Illinois CPR and First Aid, this week is especially meaningful to us. Our business was founded by two 911 dispatchers who understand firsthand the impact of that voice on the other end of the line.

Lori dedicated her career to dispatching in DeKalb, Lee, and Ogle Counties.
Zach continues to serve as a 911 dispatcher today.
We’re also proud to have Amber and Becky on our team, both bringing valuable dispatch experience.

Dispatchers are often the first voice a panicked caller hears—and the first to provide critical, life-saving instructions, including starting CPR before responders even arrive.

They don’t just answer calls.
They guide. They support. They save lives.
