Volunteer of the month for October:
Joanie Keyes- Regional Director of Special Olympics!

She showed an interest in Freedom Reins a couple of years ago and has gotten more and more involved as time has gone on. We have been working towards joining the Equine Special Olympics and hope to compete in 2026!

Joanie is experienced, knowledgeable, passionate, and so creative. If you lesson on Tues or Thurs evening, you've had the privilege of working with her and playing one of her fun games.

We're so thankful for Joanie's expertise and thoughtfulness. Freedom Reins looks forward to more collaborations in the future!

There are not enough words to express our gratitude. Last night was beyond our imaginations and prayers. Thank you so much to every single one of you who came out and supported Freedom Reins.

We're so excited to open our doors to the public for the first time this year! Here's what to expect if you join us!

$5 pony rides from 5-6 on our therapy horses
Hug and horse (it's amazing- we promise) and paint a horse.

I'm glad I grabbed the picture because it was gone when I left.

We're so excited for the Open Barn and Ribbon Cutting in 10 days. Are you coming to see us and meet our therapy horses?

!!!Reminder!!!

Park at Life Foursquare to grab a ride on our shuttle to the barn. Our limited parking will be reserved for handicap parking. The shuttle will run every 10 ish minutes, so wait times will be minimal!

We have to brag on so many today.

First of all, we know they're therapy horses so they should, but Mocha and Sugar absolutely rocked walking the parade for Warrensburg Latham's HOCO parade. These girls showed up and showed off how well they serve us. From trailering easily, to hanging out in the sun while lining up, to tackling hoards of excited kids, horns beeping, banners flapping to carefully navigating roads they aren't used to. They did all of this without a single hiccup; it was beautiful.

To our WL kids that walked with us, THANK YOU. You represented WL and Freedom Reins so well. We're so proud of you and thankful for your participation and help.

WL, thanks for having us! It was a blast and we are excited for next year already!
