AS WOMEN, WE OFTEN WEAR MANY HATS. I'm a doctor, wife, and hockey mom just trying to make it through the day raising teen boys, a beagle, and a husband. I've prioritized managing patients and a household, but have often struggled to find time for the most important person in my life... ME! 🤩

After 20 years of keeping patients healthy, I know what needs to be done to stay healthy. But even with this vast knowledge, I have struggled to be consistent with my own health. As I got further into my forties, my weight and biomarkers started to stray, and I knew I had to pay greater attention before everything went sideways. But how? My schedule was already full taking care of everyone else. Sound familiar?

That was when I realized I needed to deconstruct the roadblocks standing in my way to find the consistency that I desperately needed. I created a simple framework to help declutter my environment to make time for nutrition and exercise. A simple, sustainable method that has worked for me and my clients. 😍

That's me probably 80% of the time!

Had a bunch of squash and decided to brown some ground turkey with it. Added in homemade salsa and cumin to flavor it up. (Add in any extra veggies as you please.)

Tada! YUM YUM 😋

Today I am sharing my 5 tips to fueling your body.

In life, we have high demands on our bodies and it's important to fuel our bodies properly with good nutrition!

Here are 5 quick tips!

1. Drink water and lots of it!
- It is recommended to drink half your body weight in ounces daily!
- Try drinking a big glass of water when you first wake up in the morning.

2. Eat protein!
- Supports your body with muscle growth and recovery.
- Supports you in managing your blood sugar.

3. Eat your greens!
- Whether you love to eat veggies or not, try to get them in however you can.
- A great way to hide the greens is in a smoothie with some fruit.

4. Healthy Fats!
- Incorporating healthy fats like butter, avocado, avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil into
our your healthy lifestyle.
- Supports you in leaning down, improved brain health, and more!

5. Probiotics
- Supports you by adding healthy bacteria into your body.
- Supports your gut heatlh.

BONUS: Eat organic as much as possible!

When changing anything in life, it is important to do one thing at a time.

Look through the list and pick one thing to focus on.

Once you have mastered that, then move on to the next one.

Just remember that small consistent changes over time will support you in making a big change.

Be gentle with yourself, have compassions, and give yourself some love today!

I remember what it was like living life that way. 👎🏻 Putting every ounce of my happiness & self-worth on my weight & how good my clothes fit that day 👗-not allowing myself to feel fully happy, beautiful, confident, or loved until I reached a certain point. 😔

But life is happening NOW and you don't need perfect abs to enjoy it.🙅🏼 Perfect legs or b***y or arms isn't even the POINT of life.
