A - Asymmetry: One half of the mole doesn't match the other.
B - Border: The edges are irregular, ragged, or blurred.
C - Color: The color is not uniform and may include shades of brown, black, or even pink.
D - Diameter: The mole is larger than 6mm (about the size of a pencil eraser).
E - Evolving: The mole changes in size, shape, or color over time.

Dr. Babich served as a lieutenant commander in the United States Navy at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Illinois. Then she had a clinical dermatology fellowship at the Roswell Park Cancer Research Institute in Buffalo, New York.

She completed her dermatology residency in 1999 at the State University of New York and has been serving the Illinois community ever since. She holds positions as a full member of both the Macon County Medical Society and the Illinois State Medical Society. Her specialties include general dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
