Direct Pediatric Care can save you so much time as a busy family! No need for extraneous appointments for things that can be done virtually and when you do come in your time is valued! You are not shuffled through 5 different people but see me, the doc, 1:1 the whole time. Time is so valuable…we want to help you protect it too!

With spring comes ticks…they can cause Lyme disease and so it’s important to be diligent in looking for them daily when outside and if you find one that’s been there for a bit and looks engorged, prophylaxis might be a good idea. Listen in to learn when you need it!

This past weekend I spent time in Savannah Georgia for all things Pediatric DPC. It’s always fun to get some sunshine but even more fun to meet old friends and mentors who helped me start this journey. I also learn new things to help patients each and every time. As a Pediatrician and even as an Expert in Kids…there is always something to learn. For those considering starting a DPC or working as a Doc in one, feel free to reach out to me or really any of us. This weekend I am immersed in Pediatric DPC and what people are doing and how to make Thrive Pediatrics better! Learning about clinical hypnosis for anxiety and even helping kids who are scared in clinic for procedures is so cool! It’s not mind control but helping them get into a focused state to reduce anxiety.

Ever wonder why your kids in school keep getting sick? Well kids share everything and one thing they like to share a lot these days…Squishies and fidgets! Have you ever looked at these things? They just carry the germs on them. I’d love to have my kids not share these but let’s be honest…that’s unlikely. But…it definitely can be one of many ways kids spread those germs.

Thrive Pediatrics is turning 1 today! I am so thankful to my family and friends for their support and my patients that both followed and found me along the way! It’s been such a fun ride and I look forward to many more years ahead :)
