If you are in Wisconsin, RSV is on the rise and although we don’t always test in clinic, I’ve had several patients in my practice just this week that fit the story of RSV. It’s a super scary virus for parents of young kids and so be on the lookout for lots of gunk and wet coughs, wheezing, and retractions, nasal flaring and head bobbing. If suctioning an humidifiers and steamed bathrooms don’t help at home and they are working hard to breathe as above, then they need more help.
