Unfortunately the future generation of Medford Trains will not exist. All of the hard work that Jim did is lost to his family forever. It’s hard to believe that someone would look at someone’s passing as a way to make a profit rather than respect that person’s wishes.

Jim’s grandkids are heartbroken. They were looking forward to continuing the hobby to make Jim proud and feel closer to him.

Jim was a good man, but was taken advantage of at the end. He and his hobby will be missed.

If anyone has any info on what happened to Jim’s kits and dioramas, please message me. He wanted them to go to his grandkids / business partners, but when going to get them, they were gone. It would mean a lot to the family.

I was able to work on the N scale company house to give you a size comparison. It’ll come with the same porches as the HO scale, just wasn’t able to build them today.

If you notice there’s a lump of cancer on my chest just under my chin from about 5 weeks ago. The good news is that it seems to be shrinking from the drugs I’m on...at least I hope so!
Probably from all the prayers I’ve been getting from all my dear friends! It’s in other parts of my body and I hope it’s shrinking too. I won’t know for another few weeks when they do another scan.

Not much completed on N scale company house as severe hand cramps kept me from it!
Shell is assembled and windows painted. Small porches will be included as with HO scale but at this time I can’t assemble them....can’t tell you how much they hurt both mentally and physically!

I certainly appreciate all the interest in the company houses, and would like to continue to get a count, but please wait until you see them on my Shopify site to purchase.
At this point in my recovery sorting windows and other parts is very stressful on the brain and only discourages me. When you buy from the site it prints the postage so I can just put it in my mailbox rather then take to the post office.
Stephen has already been allerted I’m going to need more of the HO.
I’m hoping to be able to post some N scale comparison shots later today.
I hope to have some help today with the windows ...each HO kit gets 14 windows, 28 panes of glazing and 14 shades.... well will the N scale ones.

Jim, we are all grateful for the enormous effort and energy you put into preserving the heritage of the Western Maryland. We are especially grateful to know how hard you are fighting to get through your struggles. Your humor, your candor, and your willingness to share with us is an important reminder for all of us to live,each moment as fully as we can, and no matter how big our obstacles may seem, it is always possible to push through them with grace. You're a good man, and I'm glad to know you. Thank you.

I want to start my day giving thanks to all my friends who’ve wished me well and given many prayers for my recovery, believe me, they have meant so much!
There’s been many times where I just wanted to give up on Medford Trains, to reduce any extra stress, but after all the enthusiasm on the company houses, I can’t let you down!
Many, many thanks to Stephen Milley for helping me with them, Jeff Grove with his constant offers of help and Rich Shepard of RSLaser who also has a lot of health issues but always willing to help!
