I'm reposting this video given that previously we were awaiting the unveiling event for EVF. I'm honored and excited for a new chapter with C.R.Vision and Empowering Vision Foundation (EVF) as we will be working together to support learners who have a cerebral visual processing impairment including additional disabilities. This is a very unique moment in services for children with visual impairment as this type of support is not provided in any other capacity after age three.
Thank you to those who recognize this and have trusted us in the process.

We are so lucky to have teacher Natalie working with our team and kids since May 2025. As a Xavier Unibersity graduate in early childhood special education, Natalie has taught in public school settings and in hospitals serving children with complex medical needs. Natalie is exceptionally equipped with joy, passion and skill. She has specialty training in reading with children who have learning disabilities. She is looking forward to becoming a teacher for the blind and visually impaired in the near future. Go, Natalie!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

We had a wonderful community outing last night to the Glowing Wild Zoo exhibit that is a perfect setting for children with CVI. Lights, movement and darkness creates an optimal visual environment for access and participation. Beautiful.

Famously known as a , did you know that was known as a rule breaker while a student at Perkins?

During this time, the general public didn't think folks who were could learn but not Anne. Her tenacity, dedication, and intelligence eventually lead her to be chosen as Helen Keller’s . Together, they challenged outdated views and opened up minds to what is possible when we modify learning to fit the needs of a student.

describes meeting Anne as β€œThe most important day I remember in all my life.” Our world today is better off because of these two daring women. πŸ’™

This awesome gal just loves the noise and anticipation of her newly homemade instrument. Her visual skills and access to objects and people has improved tremendously including hand-eye coordination. She is enjoying people and activities more and more because of visual improvement through vision strategies we use. Go Ellis!!! You rock, lady.

We have been enjoying so many wonderful Fall activities. From leaf hunting and labeling, to carving pumpkins, going on train rides, playing corn hole and painting pictures of pumpkins. We are learning so many concepts and improving our vision skills, hand eye coordination, and other areas of our sensory learning abilities. These kiddos love the high quality one-on-one time they get. Yay!!!

I'm truly impressed with Lizette and her daughter Christina. I started working with her a few months ago and Christina greets me with smiles and laughter. She loves to do movement activities as shown here with our warm up routine of yoga with her mom. She uses some vision but mostly experiences her world through sounds, movement and touch. We like these therapeutic recreational activities that align with the expanded core curriculum for the blind and visually impaired. Christina has bilateral optic nerve hypoplasia, cerebral palsy and several other disabilities, however she's such a love bug and very adventurous.
