If you've ever experienced "food noise" – that relentless mental chatter about your next meal, snack, or craving – you know how exhausting it is. For me, it wasn't just the noise. It was the afternoon sluggishness that had me reaching for my third coffee. It was the binging that I couldn't seem to control, followed by the guilt and bloating that made me feel uncomfortable in my own skin.

Five years ago, I lost 50 pounds. I felt incredible. Energized. Confident. In control.

5.5 years ago, I felt trapped in self-doubt and fear about my body. Before May 2020, I'd never achieved significant weight loss and felt utterly disconnected from myself. Hopelessness consumed me - I had no clue where to start, and honestly? I doubted my ability to succeed.

I believed I lacked willpower. The word "diet" scared me because I thought it meant restriction, deprivation, and giving up everything I loved. I assumed I'd have to cut out my favorite foods and sacrifice happy hours forever. It seemed insurmountable

But here I am, 5.5 years and 50 pounds later, proof that I was wrong about everything.
I didn't eliminate any food group from my diet. Those weekly happy hours? Still happening! What changed wasn't what I ate - it was HOW I approached food and my relationship with it.
