As we round the corner into April and Spring, I’m carrying this one question in my heart:

Am I free?

Freedom means something different to each soul. And we give our power away in the smallest and grandest of ways.

As we move into this new season, I hope you take a moment or an afternoon to sit with this question and make eye contact with whatever is that is owning parts of you.

Be it an anger, a substance, an inbox, an identity, a role, an income or a righteousness.

Ask yourself if you’re willing to pay this fee of freedom or if it’s time to unshackle and stretch across an unknown vista.

Whatever freedom you find and fight for, I hope it sits like a delicious rebellion in your heart.

I hope it feels like the sun on your cheek after a long, dark winter ✨

The most important thing will feel the stickiest.

I also believe that there is a big different between procrastination and resistance.

Procrastination is putting off something you really DON’T want to do.

Resistance is avoiding something you really DO want to do.

Procrastination will irritate you.
Resistance will kill you. Or kill your spirit at least.

It’s easy to become hypnotized by the siren song of resistance. It’s easy to confuse doubt with danger.

But here’s the magical thing they cannot be disputed: when you lean into the resistance and do something, anything in service of the call, you’ll feel energized. You’ll pulse with aliveness. You’ll get time back in self-trust and creative energy.

Your resistance is like the tough-love teacher that changed your life. It knows what you’re capable of and won’t let you settle for less.

Lean in, only for 10 minutes. Fall off the cliff of discomfort. Let your own life force catch you and carry you home ✨

So much creativity is taking place before you ever put pen to paper, paint to canvas, melody to form, ingredient to dish, insight to conversation.

I believe this is why we’re just now starting to see pandemic artistry come alive.

In the air phase of creativity you appear, on the outside, to be doing nothing at all.

You’re simply pausing, waiting, observing, breathing, witnessing, feeling.

Experiences are filtering down through your chakras. Some pausing to integrate, some eliminating and some surviving the journey to earthy creation.

Not all ideas are meant to manifest into something. Not all inspiration should be shared. This living, it is a dance. This making, it is medicine. You need not take too much.

Let air be air, fire be fire, water be water and earth be earth.

Trust the seeds that wish to be planted and trust the wind that asks to flow freely to release.

Your creativity is endless. ✨
