The Reason for Starfish in Starfish Wellness

Why Starfish Wellness? Starfish Wellness was created as part of a dream of a nurse practitioner who believed she could help one person at a time and do it in a memorable way. Being a nurse for 11 years, she prided herself on having a personal nursing theory that mirrors the Starfish Story. As a brand new nurse, she wanted to save the world. With tears almost daily during her first year of nursing, she recognized quickly that being the best nurse to each patient was all that she could do during that 12 hour shift that she would be in that patient’s life. Also having the privilege of being part of numerous mission trips and seeing how most of the world lives, she quickly knew that she couldn’t save them all but could be the best nurse for each individual she would serve, one at a time.
