Situational Awareness Practice: Remember to practice patience during tough interactions where you feel activated. Think of somebody that you view as a guide, a mentor, somebody that you look up to, and picture them in your mind as the situation is going on and find some reasons to just feel gratitude for somebody that you deeply care about, somebody that you really love. Don't respond in anger or frustration to elevate the situation; instead, take a breath, wait, wait, and then wait a little longer.
