There are lots of stray cats in Turkey but, for the most part, people seem to try to take care of them. I see food and water bowls out everywhere.
If I were independently wealthy one of the things I would do is come here (I'm in Antalya now) and create a free neutering and spaying clinic. The other thing I would do - more of what my real life is - is teach Pulse Diagnosis to any Practitioner of Chinese medicine who would listen because THAT is the most important part of acupuncture therapy.

Anyway, here is a house that someone built for local cats (kediler) near my friend's home.

You probably don't know that in Colorado, Practitioners of Chinese medicine/Acupuncturists also have injection therapy for pain, scar reduction therapy, B12 injections (etc.) in our scope of practice. I have studied extensively in this over the years including overseas and love the good effects of the various injection therapies. And, I'M GOOD AT IT -- just like I'm a good needler. I've even given myself neck injections without very much discomfort.

I use procaine if it's not just a vitamin injection. Why? Because procaine:
Promotes healthy nerve communication by managing/balancing the electrical charge between cell membranes

Lowers the perception of pain by increasing nociception threshold (intensity of stimulation to trigger pain signal)

Increases vasodilation and O2/oxygen perfusion; increases oxygen; increases nutrients to the cells; increases VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor - an essential growth factor for vascular endothelial cells.

It reduces inflammation

It increases/stabilizes capillaries and prevents edema (swelling).
