You are waterboarding your own stomach.
You complain about bloating and slow metabolism, yet you chug ice water while standing up. You are creating the problem.
Here is the physiological reality:
β The Ice Water Shock: When you dump ice water into your system, your blood vessels constrict (vasoconstriction). Your digestive enzymes which need warmth to function shut down. Instead of digesting food, your body fights to regulate its temperature. Result? Stagnant food and sludge.
β The Gravity Trap (Standing vs. Sitting): When you gulp water while standing, gravity forces it down instantly creates "turbulence." It hits the stomach wall aggressively, disturbing the fluid balance and causing the esophageal sphincter to malfunction. This is a primary cause of random bloating and acid reflux.
The Fix: β
Sit down. β
Drink warm (or room temp) water. β
Sip, don't chug.
Stop treating your body like a garbage chute. Treat it like a machine.
