Before meeting Megan I think I was definitely on the competition side vs collaboration... I have no idea why and when I look back on it I think that was a little bit silly... combined with always comparing, feeling not good enough... all the stuff that don’t really contribute to reaching your goals.

There are so many amazing peeps out there doing the same or similar to me - I would have been missing out on SO MUCH had I not changed my perspective!!!

Baby boy, I love you more than you know.

HOW IT STARTED AND HOW IT'S GOING. 

It's October and Oskar turns one this month. 
 
So, it is a great time for me to reflect.

I have always identified as an athlete...strong, fit, healthy. 

But in the past year (or more) my identity has... shifted....

Becoming a mum has been the greatest gift, I am SO SO grateful for this journey.  Oskar has taught me more than any of my athletic endeavours.

I'm not training for anything right now, but I have never been so proud of my accomplishment and how I have grown in just a year.

The first time we do something can always be a little stressful.

Its new, unknown, unpredictable…

But the more we do it, the better we get. (do you think about driving a car now?)

And often on the other side of this uncomfortable is a lot of good!!

So keep at it, whatever it is that may be outside your comfort zone or NEW…

It’s been a bit since I posted … so I thoughts I’d say 👋 hi!

If you are new here, thanks for being a part of my little section of the ig world.

I like sharing lots of content about building systems that grow your business online.

I’m a mum to a 11 months old and a 7 year old French bulldog. Currently, my husband and I live in Denver for the winter months and Calgary for the summer.

I believe in balance - and building a business you love in a way that feels good.

A simple call to action to grow your email list.

But it’s not 1999 anymore.

And although 90s jeans are back in style - this type of call to action is not!!

🛑But Email Marketing is still a thing!!

A really big thing you need in your biz!

So what do we do to get people off of social and onto your list.

1. Mindset. You may have a feeling that email marketing feels icky. That it falls into the sales side of the business and you don’t want to be “annoying”. This isn’t true. Yes you CAN be annoying! BUT let’s not. Here’s how:
👉set the expectation
👉show up with value

People like getting emails from people they like🙂 and don’t like getting emails from people they don’t know (or like).

Ok so how do we do that and build the list??

2. The best way I have found is to host something live - a challenge, workshop, webinar…. This LIVE aspect allows people to really GET TO KNOW you.

After you show up as the expert you can gather testimonials feedback. THEN set up this LIVE freebie as an evergreen (not live) for people to sign up whenever they want.

This is a great example of an effective lead generation system!!!

There is NEVER a good time to start something.

There will almost be SOMETHING in the way.

So what do we do?
Start small.
What is the minimal amount you can commit to a week? Or a day?

Then get to work.

If something is important to you…. You MUST make time for it (even 15-20 min a day!)
