So happy to attend the first *LIVE* ENA Conference since 2019, and we were NOT disappointed!!! It was incredibly well done and we met SO many inspiring people that still love emergency nursing in spite of all the challenges we have been faced with in the last three years.
The leadership in this organization is second to NONE and their energy and passion for our profession was palpable and good for the soul💜

Although absolutely NOTHING has gone as planned for quite some time, the resiliency of Emergency Nurses never ceases to both amaze and humble us. The National ENA conference was changed to virtual *again*, but we made good use of the travel time we saved by reaching out to the rural hospitals in our state that were SIGNIFICANTLY affected by hurricane Ida but didn’t get the news coverage that the bigger cities did.

The Louisiana ENA State Council collaborated with other hospitals throughout the state and were able to deliver food, snacks, hugs, and support to these bad-ass but exhausted nurses that have yet to rest.
We were in awe of what they have been through, and so very proud of the strength and dedication they showed up with, even after suffering losses of their own. This is Emergency Nursing at both it’s best and it’s worst all at the same time. It’s not pretty, but it’s 100% real.
If there’s anything anyone would like to do to support them please reach out to us on here—-there is a very long road ahead to get functional again and LENA members will be returning to the areas to deliver support and supplies:)

Hey guys! Sarah, Flo, and Hollye here. We’ve been a little quiet lately, and wanted to let you know we are still here! We have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming Louisiana Emergency Nurses Association State Conference, and are looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!! The pic on the bottom speaks volumes, and is so very very true. Invest in YOURSELF.

Life in general has been really hard lately, and the fact that ED nurses continue to show up and somehow find a way to get things done speaks volumes about our strength, tenacity, and love for what we do. Come feed your soul with us. We want to see you and celebrate you! We will be there for the same reasons, and are excited to recharge and connect with some amazing people. There truly is power in numbers, and our ENA at both the state and national level has a BIG VOICE 💪🏼! We really hope to see you soon❤️

at University of Mississippi Medical Center is a wrap! We had a great group of ED and ICU nurses and added another TNCC instructor to the lineup 💪🏼
These classes are always a great reminder of why we love to do this so much and it’s always about the people we get to meet.

Teaching TNCC at UMMC never disappoints!!
New instructors and a fun mix of ER and ICU nurses made for a great class with jokes galore and a very competitive Trauma Ready game- definitely one for the books! We had a great time with this group and are looking forward to next time💪🏼

Despite 2021 continuing the 2020 trend and cancelling Mardi Gras, we were feeling festive and treated our TNCC students to some king cakes 😋 Even the baby found a way to keep the carnival spirit alive and safe 💜💚💛

Dedication and hard work pay off! For the last two days we’ve had the privilege to teach with two of the latest and sure to be greatest TNCC instructors that were in our 2020 instructor class! Welcome to the TNNC teaching family Kendall and Laura !!

Super excited to have completed the first TNCC Instructor class at UMMC 💪🏼 We had a great group of instructor candidates that are going to impact care of the trauma patients they see at their facilities, and by teaching others to do the same. Get ready Mississippi!
