A high intensity interval training (HIIT) class. Heart rate rises and falls back toward resting throughout the class.

FINALLY A CLASS ANY ONE CAN DO. BEGINNER TO ADVANCED. YOU WILL GET SOMETHING OUT OF THIS CLASS. BUILD CORE (ABDOMINALS AND LOWER BACK) STRENGTH AND IMPROVE YOUR BALANCE. JUST TWO OF THE BEST BENEFITS OF THIS CLASS. I AM BACK AT FUMC FELLOWSHIP HALL TUE AT 6:15PM FOR A FULL BODY WORKOUT.

WE WILL USE DIFFERENT MUSIC ALTOGETHER TO SLOW THE WORKOUT DOWN AND GIVE YOUR MIND AND BODY TIME TO REMEMBER THE MOVEMENTS AND COMBINATIONS OVER SEVERAL CLASSES. LOCATION UPDATE: Hello Friends! Classes are back indoors at FUMC Gym! Maybe it has been too hot or getting too cold for you to workout outdoors. If so, now is the time to make a commitment to yourself, stop making excuses, and join us for an hour of moving, stretching and strengthening your body and mind. All lo-impact, options given for more intensity as needed. Participants range from 40 to 88 years in age, so don't let that number stop you. You do need to still be able to move around easily without assistance.

I am beyond ready to teach a new PiYo routine. Today I finally worked out to Round 56 and I LOVE it! If you are curious about this class, September will be a great time to start. We will all be learning a new routine so it will a bit slower than later on as we progress through repetition. Sharing the Lower Body section. Fantastic for improving balance. I teach in bare feet. You may wear shoes if you prefer. Balance is better bare foot and we work more muscles in our feet. You may want to hold on to a chair back or countertop edge until your balance improves. Play a song you like that's about 6:30 minutes at about 130BPM if you want a musical beat to follow.

Last week PiYo was canceled both days. This morning, due to one on vacation, two not feeling well, and the fourth still in bed at 8:15 twelve miles away....class starting at 8:30, I found myself dressed and ready to workout with no students. So I decided to work out alone with a kettlebell. These are just a small sample of some great exercises. Got in a long leisurely stretch and relaxation when finished. I am starting to feel the different workout as the day goes on and it feels good. I will be in the pool at 6:15 for Water aerobics to work some of it out. Always warm up with at least 3-5 minutes of some walking or low impact movements to get your blood pumping and your muscles ready. Stretching is not necessary to start. If you want some to start, please do them after 3-5 minutes moving. Stretching is most important at the close of your workout. Warm Up/ Workout/Stretch.

PiYo will be moving back indoors on Thursday 7/1 at FUMC GYM at 8:30am. Ability to get down to or up from the floor is not necessary. Can be performed using a sturdy chair or stool. A great workout option for Active Agers that can no longer take the impact of running or other activities that pound the joints. It has been a few years that I quit running once a week or so, due to a foot issue. I have done PiYo for about 5 years now. I was able to walk thick soft sand long distance and then run soft sand barefoot for a steady 15-20 minutes on Memorial Weekend. No loss of stamina or muscle endurance. Step out of your COMFORT ZONE and come check it out in the AC.
