We all have favorite poses, the ones we happily approach time and time again like an old friend. Just as with a friend there are different attributes we are drawn to, whatever we need or lean towards in the moment. Here is a sampling of several of the Live Free Yoga teacher's favorites...what resonates with you? Share in the comments!!
Consider these poses just a snapshot in time, because as we evolve, our bodies and mind evolve, and these favorites change depending on who we are in the moment, and what we NEED in the moment. And sometimes even the poses which we once resisted or disliked may turn into the ones we favor. Because injuries, life, and time change us. And we may find ourselves shifting from craving strength to comfort, and from craving comfort to craving to strength, excitement!
So despite the fact that you may have favorites, challenge yourself by exploring the poses you may not like in equal measure, because these poses often show us where we are the weakest or least developed (we all have these areas!), and the challenge is where we grow. Balance in everything!!
