The direness of winter settles in, the mid way point. We’ve made it halfway through. The frozen lakes, the bare and ice kept branches seem to not mind; artistic, in a froze state of pause.

Stark white fields bleed into monochrome grey sky’s. November, December, January, now February’s snow moon.

I awoke to the gentle fall of snowflakes seen through my Mortise windows, just before the rise of the Snow moon.

It wasn’t lost on me how chronically time plays in step with the almanac. I embrace the winter-scape and seek wisdom in its hibernation in awe of its bearing.

I dream of vibrant red poppy’s and pink dresses and rain showers and temperatures in the 60s, March, April will soon be here. Celebrate the of being, whether the spring, summer, fall or winter ~ whether the weather my heart is beating.
