Hey there ice cream fans!! Next Saturday is Ice Cream for Breakfast Day!! Come hang out in Highland Park to celebrate. will have affogatos for sale made with ice cream inspired by their winter menu. is making a limited amount of glazed donut ice cream sandwiches. I will have the shop space open for a pop-up and samples.

Shop progress - getting closer! Staff is identified and just waiting for the word. Final inspections coming this week. Keep your fingers crossed!

Proud to be participating in this fundraiser.

A group of dynamic and wonderful local bakers and makers have come together to turn our collective rage, despair, and grief into tangible care. The news out of Minnesota is unbearable, and people need help! We are asking you to join us by donating to Minneapolis Mutual Aid funds. These funds direct money to where it is needed the most with free legal services and urgent basic needs.

Happy holidays!! I hope you’re all staying warm. I’ve been busy this week making moves in the shop and churning a little ice cream. Sunday from 11-3 is the Highland Park Holiday Shop Hop! I’ll be in my shop with half pints for sale. I’ll also have samples for those of you who have always wanted to try but maybe haven’t committed to a pint. Stop by and pick up some ice cream to go and check out the progress on the space. While you’re at it, hop around the neighborhood for a little shopping. Grab a passport from myself or any of the participating businesses. Visit all of us to get your passport stamped, turn it in and maybe you’ll be the winner of a basket full of goodies from shops around the business district.

And because I know you’re curious, no I don’t have an opening date. A few important logistical details to work out, passing all the necessary inspections, and training a team of scoopers. I’ll announce it here when I finally have a date! Can’t wait to see y’all!

Big things happening this morning! Equipment was delivered. Bathroom fixtures and ADA required elements are in. Oh, and I took off the paper on the windows. To say I love it is putting it lightly! It looks amazing in this space. The light pouring through the windows makes everything pop!

It’s time!! Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year. I’m not much of a pie girl, but if you put a scoop of ice cream on it, I’m in!! I’ve got three options for your pies or desserts. And this year, I’m offering each in a nondairy form too. Order by the quart or the pint for your table of friends and family.

Pick up is the Sunday and Tuesday before the big meal and other arrangements can be made if needed. Link to order is in my stories and the bio. I’m thankful for ya!

Thank you for your patience!! Finally got around to the 3K Giveaway! Y’all submitted a lot of flavor ideas. The most common flavors suggested were Dutch Letter, Pistachio, and S’mores. The most out there idea was Jalapeño Popper, which I think could actually work. Thanks for that one ! Congratulations to ! She gets a pint on the house. And I’m also extending the prize to her friend who Nora tagged. And of course, there will be Peppermint Stick when I open in December. Thanks all!

Deliberate progress. This entire venture has been an exercise in patience. I knew when I finally received funding it was only one of the hurdles. Construction is chugging along at a steady pace. Has it taken a little longer than I originally expected? Yes. Does the lead time on materials, fixtures, and equipment change? Yes. Are we making the best of it? Yes. I am trusting the process. I know I am in good (and capable hands).

One of my mantras has been “I’d rather do it right, than do it fast.” My design team, my contractors, and my subcontractors are doing amazing work. The space is coming together beautifully. I cannot wait for y’all to see it! I know there has been lots of excitement and anticipation. I know y’all will show up in droves to get a scoop. I know we all had hopes of being open by Small Business Saturday. It looks like that will have to wait.

Construction should be finished by Thanksgiving week. It’s unrealistic for me to think I’ll pass the necessary inspections, hire and train a team, and have freezers full of product ready to scoop. I’m asking for additional understanding and patience. I will open as quickly as the process allows. I’m still crossing my fingers I will be open before Christmas. The Highland Park business district feels like magic when the community comes out to support all the small businesses. There is so much joy. I’m excited to add to that joy. All in good time.

In the meantime, here are some ways you can support me and the shop:

- Order pints & quarts for Thanksgiving! Drop coming Thursday 11/13.

- Shop small this holiday season, and beyond. I have been surrounded and supported by so many amazing fellow business owners. Of course I’m partial to HPOP, but shop small where you are. We’ve learned that people who shop at one of the businesses in the neighborhood usually stop into more of the others when they are walking along the safer sidewalks and subsequently buy things.

It’s almost Halloween and I wanted to make ice cream! I’ve created a menu I’m excited about. Plus if you choose pick up at the Scoops Shop on Saturday 10/25 during the Highland Park Giver’s Night you’ll get a little peek at the space. It’s really coming along and it looks like I’ve got another 4-6 weeks to go.

Blood & Bones - cheesecake ice cream with cake pieces, Kit Kats and strawberry compote

Candy Bag - vanilla ice cream with candy bar pieces

Caramel Apple Pop - green sour apple ice cream with a sweet caramel swirl, just like the suckers if you remember those

Chai - classic masala chai made by a blend from . Warming spices like cinnamon and cardamom. It’s a delight!

The Great Pumpkin Bar - pumpkin spice ice cream made with the pumpkin spice chai blend from , ample pieces of pumpkin bars, and a ribbon of cream cheese frosting

Coconut Chai - coconut base with Masala Chai

Oat Pumpkin - oat milk, oatmeal, and cashew base with Pumpkin Chai
