"In those days, Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. And everyone went to their own town to register.

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

"While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room available for them.

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.

"But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.'

"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest heaven.'" - Luke 2:1-14

On behalf of everyone at WesleyLife: Thank you to all who have blessed us with the opportunity to serve you this past year. We wish you a warm, healthy, merry Christmas surrounded by those who bring you joy.

A huge thank you to Corteva Agriscience for their incredible support of our Meals on Wheels program!

We were honored to host Heidi Spahn, Corteva's Global Corporate and Community Investment Leader, for a tour of our campus. It was wonderful to showcase how their partnership helps us deliver nutritious meals and vital well-being checks to older adults in our community. We’re especially grateful to Corteva for adopting a daily delivery route—ensuring that older adults receive meals and care every single day. Your commitment makes a real difference, and we appreciate all you do for us and our neighbors!

Thank you, Corteva Agriscience, for investing in the health, well-being, and safety of our community!

On this Giving Tuesday, WesleyLife is grateful to share the impact your generosity has made this year. More than 350,000 meals were delivered to older adults and military veterans experiencing food insecurity. Sixteen lives were saved through well-being checks. And more than 200 residents in our communities for healthy living were able to remain in their homes even after their finances were depleted.

Because of you, our communities and services continued to offer health, hope, and home. As you plan your year-end giving, please help us ensure 2026 is even more meaningful. Please visit https://hubs.li/Q03WtNQ50 to support the impact area that resonates most with you.

Happy Thanksgiving from WesleyLife! Team members, volunteers, and community members gathered on the Meals on Wheels campus in Des Moines this morning to prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals to 225 older adults and military veterans in Central Iowa who otherwise would have been celebrating the day alone. A big “thank you” to Molina Healthcare and Aging Resources of Central Iowa for their generous partnership in making the event possible, and to Des Moines Mayor Connie Boesen and Des Moines City Council member Josh Mandelbaum for giving of their time on a holiday morning.

As you celebrate today, please remember Giving Tuesday is right around the corner, and the need to address hunger and isolation in the Metro and surrounding areas continues to grow. To make an impact, visit WesleyLife.org/Foundation.
