Eventually the waters that were once the under currents rise to the surface and begin to crash upon the walls we try to build around ourselves. Until one day, the walls are no longer in existence and the water is allowed to flow freely, effortlessly.

Flow with the current and accept the many gifts brought to each of us daily. Pay attention, the gifts are everywhere, just waiting to be discovered.

For reasons unknown, I spent a good part of this day questioning. Questioning everything. Every decision, every turn. Feeling as if my only success was in my failure. Generalized funk for no specific reason...it was just there. Tonight, I pulled out of that head space. Through laughter, I am able to see clearly again. To see through the lens of my Heart. And I am again reminded of a lesson learned from a grandmother... all I have to do is Shine. That's why we are here. To shine. The rest of the stuff will work itself out...just shine.

This morning, I began to feel a bit overwhelmed by my to do list. So I sat down.... and I took a few deep breaths and focused on the joy it brings me to be opening my home again this weekend, the blessings being bestowed upon me every day, the absolute gratitude for the beautiful and amazing people in my world, and for the opportunity to share in the lives of others. This is my joy.
Thank you all for the immense amount of love I feel enveloping me in this moment... and may my love and light be felt right there next to you as well.
With love, light, and the blessings for a brand new day, I will now tackle that list!

As this day begins to end, I could be focused on all the things that went awry. Instead, I choose to focus on the things that went right...the friends who offered their time, the arms that reached out to hug me, the smiles over dinner, the kisses at bedtime, and the super heros in the neighborhood.

It is a courageous life when lived through the heart.
It takes courage to be present to your heart in each moment, overcoming the many distractions of the world which would pull you out of that strong heart space. It takes courage to let your heart guide your life, to take chances with your heart time and again. It takes courage to look upon the world each day in love. To forgive, to let go of the pain that is past tense, to fully give of yourself to the world and share the gifts you've been blessed with. It takes courage to walk your prayer and live your dreams, to stay true to yourself, and to share your love.
