โ€œI never thought that healing my relationship with food was the problem. It sounded kinda hokey to be honest. Like, yeah Iโ€™ll do that once I lose the weight first. But after going through your course, I never realized that I was doing it backwards the whole time. Mindset IS the key here. And all these diet rules were what created this restrictive, binge monster inside me in the first place.โฃ

Get thisโ€ฆ I went to our annual neighborhood BBQโ€ฆ and for the first time EVERโ€ฆ I got one plate of food and didnโ€™t even touch the dessert table! And you know what the craziest part was??? I didn't miss it at all! ๐Ÿ˜ฑโฃ

Christi, I haven't had any overeating issues since I began working with you. I canโ€™t even remember the last time I felt this stable and confident around food.โฃ

I've even had a couple of nights where I passed up my ice cream and didn't even have my go-to snacks at night! I just didnโ€™t want them. And the best part is, Iโ€™m not panicking about when my next meal is or how Iโ€™m going to eat at the restaurant tonight.โฃ

Because even when I had the perfect body, it was never good enough and food was all I could think about. I was actually more stressed when I was 40 pounds leaner because that was not my body to keep and I had to fight like hell to keep it thereโ€ฆ at the cost of my family and happiness.โฃ

I had to give up the things I loved like date nights out, drinks with my girls, and sports I love and play now like tennisโ€ฆ because my rigid 6 day a week gym schedule left me no excess energy. ๐Ÿ˜ฅโฃ

Itโ€™s up to you to decide what your life goals are. But mine sure as hell donโ€™t include chronically dieting, constantly fighting with the number on the scale, and trying to stay away from all the โ€œbad foodsโ€ that only seemed to multiply when I was out. ๐Ÿšซโฃ

๐Ÿคฏ The more variety you have (flavors and textures) the more satisfying your meal will be. โฃ

๐Ÿคฏ Focus on the experience you want to have rather than how โ€œgoodโ€ or โ€œbadโ€ the foods are.โฃ

๐Ÿคฏ Remember, this food isnโ€™t going away and you can always have more later. โฃ

๐Ÿคฏ Eating more when youโ€™re not hungry will ruin the experience you want to have for the night. โฃ

But I am not one of those people who can be on a diet for the rest of my life. Nor do I want to be.โฃ

๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ I crave competitive sportsโฃ
๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ I canโ€™t live without fruits and veggiesโฃ

I used to think I had to be one or the other. Either ๐—ข๐—ก the โ€œhealth wagonโ€ or ๐—ข๐—™๐—™. โฃ

But instead of โ€œ๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ/๐—ผ๐—ฟโ€ I now choose โ€œ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑโ€ as well as โ€œ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต.โ€โฃ
