Our final moment encapsulates the memorable Annual Meeting & Celebration! 🥂

“2026 will be a defining year for PRSA Detroit — one rooted in connection, collaboration and community,” shared Antonice Strickland, 2026 president who was officially passed the gavel.

“In Detroit, we carry a unique energy, creativity and resilience that sets us apart. This year, our Chapter will look, feel and breathe Detroit in everything we do — from the venues we gather in to the voices we amplify and the partnerships we cultivate.” 🌆

As we reflect on this impactful year with a , a big highlight was our 'From Cringe to Confidence: Mastering Authentic Networking' workshop, hosted by Michelle Gilbert, CEO of Purple Engine Coaching & Consulting, and held at Oakland University.

Reframing networking and discussing its lifecycle helped not only newer professionals but seasoned practitioners sharpen conversational skills they may struggle with. 🤝

Thank you to Addison Koch, features writer at The Oakland Post, for covering this program!

👀 Looking back on this past year, one of our greatest programs, based on the impactful two-way dialogue that was had, was Digital Trends & Best Practices with panelists Samuel Robinson, Sarah Michals, Megan Woods, Brent Yax, and moderator Colleen Robar, APR.

In case you missed the dynamic panel, Nina Scarpelli, Integrated Communications Coordinator at Franco, shares that the "event reminded me that sometimes the most meaningful growth comes from pausing long enough to absorb what others are learning in real time" in a recent blog.

As we reflect on 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣, a pillar that was very visible this year was our bridge to local PRSSA Chapters and their strength, built by highly involved advisors and faculty.

Allison Gavagan, 2025 Chapter intern, recently spoke with Chiaoning Su, Ph.D. and Valerie Palmer-Mehta, Ph.D., two Oakland University professors who have stood out in their dedication to students, to learn more about their experience as professors.
