Warming Shelter to Open in Dillon County

A warming shelter will open at Dillon County Station 1 Fire Department, located at 201 W. Howard Street in Dillon.

Dillon County Emergency Management Director Cliff Arnette said the shelter will open at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday, January 30, 2026, and will remain open until at least Monday, February 2, 2026. It may stay open longer depending on weather conditions.

Pets are not allowed. Cots will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring blankets, medications, and personal hygiene items.

Warming Shelter Open Tonight In Dillon County

A warming shelter will open at Dillon County Station 1 Fire Department, located at 201 W. Howard Street, Dillon tonight (Tuesday, January 27, 2026) at 7:00 p.m until tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m.

No pets are allowed. Cots will be available, but guests should bring blankets, medications, and personal hygiene items.

WARMING SHELTER
Dillon County will open a warming shelter at 7 p.m. on Sunday until 10 a.m. on Monday at Dillon County Fire Station 1, 201 West Howard Street, Dillon, according to County Administrator Tim Harper. Cots are provided, but guests are responsible for their own blankets, medicines, and toiletries/hygiene items. No pets are allowed.

The warming shelter in Darlington City is now open. Safe warm space, HOT showers and food.

The Warming Center at the A.W. Stanley Gym, located at 107 Gary St., will open on Jan. 24, 2026, at 6 p.m. Additional information will be provided on-site. Please help spread the word.
