We are so proud to announce that we’ve officially introduced PICS (Post Incarceration Syndrome) to our current class behind the wall!
This program is all about more than just a certificate; it’s about equipping our students with the mindset.
Seeing the level of engagement and the “aha!” moments in the room was incredibly inspiring.
A huge shoutout to our leadership team for making this possible! Program Director Patrice, for her tireless vision and coordination. Instructor Kevin, for his dedication to teaching and mentoring our students through this new material.
Often, families expect their loved ones to come home and immediately “be themselves” again. When they see withdrawal, anger, or paranoia, it can lead to confusion and conflict. Knowing about PICS shifts the perspective from “Why are they acting like this?” to “How can we help them heal from the trauma they endured?”
Next week is graduation, and these students are heading into it more prepared than ever!
