The Outpatient Entrance will be closed beginning Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 13. During this time, patients will access Outpatient through the Employee Entrance.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time as we keep our patients and team members safe in and outside of our facilities. We will also have additional signage in place directing patients to the Employee Entrance.

With the Emergency Department and Patient Tower expansion underway, a portion of the service road on the East Main Street side of the Emergency Department (ED) is now closed. Fencing is in place blocking the road from the beginning of the new parking lot adjacent to the West Parking Garage to just before the ED entrance.

The current Emergency Department entrance will remain open for at least a couple of more weeks and patients can continue to be dropped off by entering the Fairview Avenue side of the ED.

Once the current entrance closes, entrance to the ED will be through a covered tunnel in the West Parking Garage. Thank you for your cooperation during this time as we continue to make Southeast Southbest for our patients.

When Dr. Abdelsalam Osman began searching for the right place to build his practice, he looked for a community where he could truly make a difference, somewhere he could guide patients through the complexities of vascular disease and help them reclaim their health. He found that home at the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute.
Dr. Osman earned his medical degree in Khartoum, Sudan, completed an award‑winning residency at Abington‑Jefferson Health in Pennsylvania, where he received multiple awards during his training, and went on to complete a vascular surgery fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Today, Dr. Osman treats the full spectrum of vascular conditions, including aneurysms, arterial disease, limb salvage, and carotid artery disease. He has also introduced innovative procedures to the Wiregrass region, such as Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR), expanding access to cutting‑edge care for patients.

Together with his partners at the Cardiovascular Institute, Dr. Osman is helping elevate the standard of heart and vascular care to make Southeast, Southbest for our community.

Southeast Health recently celebrated a milestone with our 50th successful Ion Robotic Bronchoscopy procedure. The Medical Center was the first hospital in the region to perform the minimally invasive peripheral lung biopsy allowing the diagnosis of lung cancer earlier. The Pulmonary Medicine and Radiology team along with Pulmonary Associates physicians, Marvin Sexton, MD, and Walter Doty, MD, celebrated this revolutionary lung cancer screening procedure.
