As construction continues on our Emergency Department and Patient Tower expansion, Emergency Room access for patients and visitors will change beginning Monday, March 16.

➡️ What to know: Patients arriving by personal vehicle will access the Emergency Department through the covered walking tunnel inside the West Parking Garage (near the Women's Center).

🚗 Patient Drop‑Off:
Patient drop‑off and pick‑up will take place in the West Parking Garage, with security officers available to assist.

This is a significant change and will remain in place throughout the project, which is expected to continue through 2028. We ask for our community’s help in sharing this update to ensure everyone arrives safely and smoothly.

During a two-week construction period, beginning tomorrow, March 5, visitor seating will be limited in the Emergency Department (ED) lobby.

To help maintain a safe and comfortable environment during this construction phase, visitors in the ED will be restricted to one person for adult patients and up to two people with pediatric patients.

This temporary adjustment will help us manage space and maintain safety while we continue to accommodate the medical needs of our patients. To remain close by, families and visitors of ED patients may access other waiting areas or dining locations.

Alternative waiting areas:
Heart and Vascular Atrium or Lobby
Cancer Center Entrance
(Inside the hospital near Entrance A)

Dining locations:
Southeats - open 24/7
Starbucks - Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Outpatient Entrance will be closed beginning Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 13. During this time, patients will access Outpatient through the Employee Entrance.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time as we keep our patients and team members safe in and outside of our facilities. We will also have additional signage in place directing patients to the Employee Entrance.
