I feel so blessed and lucky to be a part of their journeys. 2023 was a great year of firsts for me as a doula and lactation counselor learned new skills, more about myself, my business, and how even the smallest things can make a big difference in someone’s life!

Sh*t just got real???? Doc talking inductions!!!!

Some honeys want to avoid cervical ripening drugs, synthetic oxytocin, or mechanical induction with a Foley catheter, where an inflatable balloon presses against the cervix to help start labor.

They may also want to avoid other medical interventions that go along with induction, such as intravenous fluids, continuous fetal monitoring, and restrictions on freedom of movement.

RnB Saturday was a beautiful experience! Thank you, City of Douglasville - Government for having us! I spoke with many families about weaning, body changes, PPLUSFoundation’s upcoming FREE event, and our diaper station.

We had a diaper station for parents that attended, and their little ones needed a change. This station included wipes, diapers of various sizes, pads, tampons, and facial tissue.

Black breastfeeding week is absolutely my favorite part of August. Seeing these beautiful black woman breastfeeding, pumping, encouraging each other, sharing stories, all the black birth worker giving their testimonies… it’s such a beautiful time. 🤎
