1.

We share our experiences, strengths, and hopes while recovering from our active addiction to mind and mood altering substances. We admitted that we were neglectful of our higher selves and that our lives have become unmanageable.

2. We came to believe that Allah could and would restore us to sanity.

3. We made a decision to submit our will to the will of Allah.

4. We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves

5. We admitted to Allah and to ourselves the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Asking Allah for right guidance, we became willing and open for change, ready to have Allah remove our defects of character.

7. We humbly ask Allah to remove our shortcomings.

8. We made a list of persons we have harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

11. We sought through Salaat* and Iqraa* to improve our understanding of Taqwa* and Ihsan.*

12. Having increased our level of Iman (faith) and Taqwa, as a result of applying these steps, we carried this message to humanity and began practicing these principles in all our affairs.

Day 6 I ask for help — not because I am weak, but because I am loved.

Q: Who or what supports my healing?

As salaam u Alaikum

Day 5: Awareness is the first mercy. I see myself with compassion, not shame.

Q: What truth about myself am I ready to face gently?

Day 4

My Creator is not distant. I am invited to return, again and again.

Day 3:

As Muslim men and women let’s reflect on..

Admitting my powerlessness is not weakness — it is the beginning of strength and submissions to Allah.

Q: What am I ready to release control over?

Day 2 : “I am not alone. Allah is closer than my jugular vein.”

Q: Where do I feel Divine presence in my struggle?

Day 1: I begin with Bismillah — surrendering my will to the One who knows me best.

💚 Millati Islami Step Six

“We were entirely ready to have Allah remove all these defects of character.”

✨ • “I am changing little by little.” → expresses readiness and willingness to grow, surrendering ego and impatience to Allah’s timing.
• Qur’an 29:69 reminds us that when we strive (mujāhada) for Allah, He guides us — which is exactly the spiritual movement of Step Six: readiness and trust that Allah will transform what we cannot fix alone.
• The focus is progress, not perfection — every sincere effort is a form of ibadah (worship).

💭 Spiritual Principle:

Readiness, Sincerity, and Surrender
