I've been 44 for a whole week now. 🎂
And honestly? The most important thing this season of life has taught me is this:
You cannot enforce a boundary you haven't kept with yourself.
We talk a lot about setting limits with other people — saying no, protecting your time, guarding your peace. And yes, all of that matters. But sis, if you're constantly negotiating with yourself… breaking your own rules… making exceptions to the standards YOU set for YOU… how do you expect anyone else to take those boundaries seriously?
The boundary you set with yourself is the blueprint. It's the one that has to be the most solid. The most non-negotiable. The most impermeable.
Because if YOU can walk through it… everybody else will too.
At 44, I'm done being my own loophole. 🙅🏾♀️
