We’re excited to share that we’ve added an additional BIPOC Doula Training this year in response to the growing demand for culturally congruent care in Delaware! 🙌🏾✨

Our goal is to increase the supply of BIPOC doulas so that every birthing person has access to support that reflects and understands their lived experience. Representation matters—and so does having care providers who advocate from a place of shared identity and trust.

We’re building the village, one Doula at a time. 💪🏾🖤

Every other Saturday from April through October, we hit the pavement and trails at 8:00 AM EST to combat anxiety, depression, and stress through the simple act of walking! Walking is scientifically proven to improve mood, boost energy, and promote overall wellness. During these walks, we focus on self-care, education, and building a healing community.

The most disrespected and unprotected woman in America is black women so teaches The Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

This story breaks my heart.

How do we stand by and allow the abuse of black women to exist and do NOTHING?

How do men stand around and allow men to cause this kind of harm?

How do we know a truth and prefer to stay neutral when there is clear evidence of at least the potential or signs of abuse?

Why do black women have to wait for the escalation of abuse and be burdened by suffering more abuse in order to prove of its existence?

Who are the men? Where are the men that deal with the men who cause harm?

Even more, there are men who understand the mind of abusive men and blame women for it, which is why he was likely released on bail.

My prayers are with this baby who will live with seeing one parent take the life of the other yet conflicted with the natural inclination towards paternal acceptance and love.
