Performance Health and Rolyan are proud to support Laurie Thurber, OT, CHT, on a recent Touching Hands Foundation mission trip to Trinidad and Tobago with a donation of Rolyan splinting supplies, including colorful loop and black adhesive hook.

Laurie shares, “The trip was very successful. The team performed 9 free surgeries. I had the opportunity to run a splint workshop with 20 local occupational therapists and students, and provide free care to the community over the week.”

Since earning his Masters in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 1998, he has focused on the intersection of clinical excellence and operational efficiency. As the operator of Burger Physical Therapy, he manages a diverse, multidisciplinary team of over 400, spanning the continuum of care from acute settings to outpatient clinics.

Shawn’s career is defined by early innovation and a commitment to best practices. By adopting EHR systems as early as 2003, he set a standard for data-driven care in the California PT community. Today, he leverages his extensive background in HMO and Capitation models to help fellow clinicians maximize their practice potential.
