“Get Up & GO!”: An Adventure 65 million years in the making!

Reimagine Well is excited to unveil our Alternate Reality Med Game, “Get Up & GO!” at this year’s ACLP Conference. This game encourages post-operative pediatric patients to get moving as they embark on an adventure to bring dinosaurs back to life. Becoming paleontologists, patients use an iPad to unearth ancient fossils within their hospital room. As they uncover these relics, the fossils spring to life, revealing the majestic dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth. In the next AR adventure, they dive into the deep sea as underwater explorers, encountering magnificent humpback whales and great white sharks. Finally, they soar to the stars, navigating the International Space Station on a thrilling journey around the Earth. The game is designed by Reimagine Well and CalArts’ ”Healthcare by Design” class in collaboration with Debbie Wagers, the 2025 ACLP Honoree of the Year and Child Life Supervisor at Boys Town National Research Hospital. “I never imagined I'd find myself using a clinical program that was developed by a class of students at CalArts, led by former Disney Imagineers, and my post-op patients are having fun!” said Debbie Wagers.
