When all Minnesotans are included, valued, and have equitable opportunities to thrive as they grow older, it strengthens communities and helps all of us live healthier, more connected, and meaningful lives.

As Georgia Lane, Director of Aging Initiatives at Ecolibrium3, beautifully said: “When we frame aging as a shared, dynamic experience rather than a problem to solve, we unlock better outcomes for everyone.”

Because growing older is a shared human experience. And the systems we design, the spaces we create, and the stories we tell about growing older today will shape how each of us lives tomorrow.

What a great turnout and meaningful discussion with Joseph Gaugler on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

As Georgia Lane, Director of Aging Initiatives at Ecolibrium3, shared, "One of my takeaways was the need for capacity building for our regional health systems and or community providers to deliver evidence-based models like the GUIDE model for dementia care."

If you have experience implementing evidence-based dementia care models, building provider capacity, or helping initiatives like this get off the ground, please reach out to Georgia at georgia@ecolibrium3.org.

Last month, Georgia Lane, the Director of Aging Initiatives at Ecolibrium3, joined Age-Friendly Minnesota for an energizing conversation about moving Minnesota’s Multisector Blueprint for Aging from inception to action.

If you’re not familiar with the Multisector Blueprint for Aging, it’s a statewide plan that brings together state departments, local governments, organizations, and communities to ensure all Minnesotans are included, valued, and have equitable opportunities to thrive as they grow older.

With continued leadership, collaboration, and support, we can help turn this blueprint into meaningful change in creating and sustaining an accessible, inclusive, and livable Duluth where people of all ages can live, work, and thrive.
