Did you know that decluttering your space can significantly improve your mental health? It’s not just about having a tidy home. It’s about supporting your well-being by creating an environment that reduces stress and increases clarity.

Clutter can contribute to higher cortisol levels, the body's primary stress hormone. According to a study from UCLA's Center on Everyday Lives and Families, women who described their homes as cluttered had higher cortisol levels throughout the day. That constant low-level stress can impact everything from your mood to your sleep to your ability to concentrate.

When we begin to let go of excess and create order, even in small ways, our minds often follow. A cleared surface or an organized drawer can bring a sense of calm and accomplishment. Over time, this builds momentum and helps restore a sense of control, which is especially important during overwhelming seasons of life.

🔥🔥This is how many hangers were left after decluttering the closet of my most recent client who also happens to be the COOLEST 12 year old on the planet. 🔥🔥

One of my favorite age groups to work with is tweens/teens because the skills they learn to declutter, zone, organize and maintain their space can change their relationship with care tasks forever.

And let’s admit it, they are likelier to listen to a professional organizer than their parent 🤷‍♀️😬

It is so cool to see them empowered with their own space.

❌ Mornings are chaotic with stress, crying, screaming, panic, and rushing out the door.

❌ Laundry rarely makes it from the basket to the closet/dresser.

❌ Even though you have the funds bills are late and you pay late fees often.

❌ You waste money on buying doubles because you have no idea where anything is at.

❌ The house is ALWAYS a mess and there are piles everywhere.

❌ You and your family don’t eat as healthy as you like because your kitchen is messy, disorganized, and no one wants to cook in it.

Rock Star Residential Services offers decluttering, functional organizing, paper management, and habit and routine coaching. Our mission is to support our clients in simplifying their home and schedule so they have space and time freedom in their lives. We want your home to be a sanctuary, not a living breathing to-do list. We pride ourselves on both our efficient and nonjudgmental approach. We serve people from all walks of life including baby boomers, millennial university students, single-parent households, blended families and corporate moms. Though we have built a strong reputation for supporting women who are struggling with their homes due to chronic illness, trauma or mental health struggles.
